Why are we introducing a new app version?

For over a decade, businesses have turned to Catalog Machine for building product catalogs, price lists, line sheets, printing, getting orders, and much more. It's time for a refresh to meet modern needs.

That's why we introduced Catalog Machine V2, built with the latest technology for speed and ease of use. While maintaining beloved features from the previous version, we've also made key improvements.

For a while, you'll have access to both the current and new versions. This way, you can explore the improvements in version 2 while still having the option of using the familiar version 1. We're dedicated to ensuring the transition feels just right for you.

How can I access the new version?

Visit https://app.catalogmachine.com and log in using your existing email and password. Within the current app, you'll also find buttons that smoothly transition you to the new version.

Can I switch back to the old version if needed?

Of course! Both versions are compatible with most existing features, with a few exceptions, like the new rotation and scaling features. You're free to switch between versions at any time.

What features are available in the new version?

Catalog Machine V2 introduces a range of enhanced and new features:

  • Redesigned App Navigation & UI: Now fully mobile-friendly.

  • Product Management: Advanced management of products, collections, and variants.

  • Integration with CSV & Shopify: Streamlined for better performance.

  • Image Management: Revamped with new editing capabilities.

  • Catalog Designer: Improved navigation and element editing.

  • Catalog Grid Designer: Speed up the building of product pages.

  • Product/Price List Designer: Generate product lists in a table format.

  • Product Card Designer: Formerly the 'Template Designer,' offering diverse product display options.

  • Layout Designer: Design your page templates for catalogs.

  • PDF Generator: Features a new engine for accurate print designs.

  • Account management

  • New Additions: Features like Text Scaling and Rotation:

Are all features from the old version available in the new app?

Not all of them. We're migrating features, but currently, some remain exclusive to the older version:

  • Showroom.

  • Product Orders and Payments.

  • Inventory

  • Imports from e-commerce platforms like WooCommerce, Etsy, and others.

  • Analytics.

We're also updating guides and tutorials to align with the new version. We aim to fully integrate these features into the new app in the coming months.

When will the new version become the standard, and what will happen to the old version?

Our focus is a smooth transition. Your data remains the same, and you won't need special procedures to use the new version.

We don't have a fixed date for retiring the old version. We'll only do so once users are delighted and accustomed to the new version.

Can I provide feedback or report issues with the new version?
