Product lists give customers a structured way to overview product details, pricing, and other essential information. With Catalog Machine, you have powerful tools to design product lists that meet your exact needs. Choose from pre-built layouts or create your own custom lists for price comparisons, order forms, product indexes, and more.

Step 1: Adding a Product List
Choose your starting point:
Method 1: Pre-Designed Layout
In the Catalog Designer, select a layout featuring a price list (or other product list type).
Customize the list as needed (instructions below).
Method 2: From Scratch
Drag and drop the Product List element onto a catalog page.
Use the Product List Editor to configure your list.
Step 2: The Product List Editor
A. Choose Your Products
Individual Products: Select specific items.
Catalog Products: Include all products in the current catalog.
All My Products: Include your entire product database.
Collections: Use a pre-existing product collection.
Auto-Updates: The last three options keep your list current as you manage your products.
Use the 'InStock Products Only' toggle to display only items currently in stock.
B. Select Fields to Display
Category Fields: Include standard (price, description) or custom fields linked to your categories.
Special Fields:
Images
Ordering links
Links to product detail pages (for table of contents)
Quantity fields (for order forms)
Variant Fields: Display variant options.
Barcodes: Include barcodes with {{BarcodeImage}} or {{BarcodeImageExt}}
C. Design & Structure
Grouping: Group products by category, collection, or not at all.
Ordering: Sort groups or individual products within your list.
Styling: Customize the appearance of table borders, headers, rows, and text.
Advanced:
Expandable: Make lists scrollable online or generate multiple PDF pages.
Colors: Link colors to your product categories/collections.
Variant Rows: Separate variants for clarity.
Step 3: Customizing Further
Edit Text: Modify field labels or other text directly in the generated list.
HTML Editing: For in-depth control, adjust the HTML code of your list.
